This finely detailed door panel and sidelight were made in 2012 for an old house in a conservation area of Wick, Caithness, Scotland.
The original Victorian design came from a hotel just round the corner - with their permission of course, since we had to recreate their glass panel 10 years previously when the original had been broken. By a whisky bottle I believe!

Established in 1991, we have a large collection of original and authentic designs for traditional etched glass or we can make an exact copy of your glass if it is damaged in any way. Many of these designs are from the Victorian era, which was the heyday of this art form, with a marked change of style going into the Art Nouveau period. We can also create contemporary designs which are entirely unique to you, either from photographs or your own ideas.
The photographs on this website give a flavour of what is possible but hundreds of other designs are available. Because of the bespoke and handcrafted nature of this glass, a discussion of your needs, whether by phone or email, would be very helpful.

The glass used is normally 6mm toughened though other types and thicknesses can also be quoted for. We would recommend that you engage the services of a professional joiner or window fitter to measure the size of glass required, and also to fit the glass, as this is quite a specialised job.

This church is noteworthy as it was used as a prison after the battle of Culloden in April 1746 and the marks of the bullet holes can still be seen in the outside walls where these Jacobites were executed. Tough times indeed!
